Welcome
My work is a painted mashup combining the flatness of photography and the colors, patterns, and textures of my childhood 1960’s American psychedelic sensibility. I digitally manipulate historical, found, or personal photos, exaggerate the color, add pattern, flatten and distort the space, creating multiple versions to generate a reference for the painting. The aggregation of digital distortions create a new analog painting, one that exists in a world of my invention, a reflection of my memory, emotions, and relationship to the person depicted.
